are you wondering where “Rock Prairie House Concerts” is located?

house concerts are just that — music played in a house.  which means that RPHC is located in a private home off Rock Prairie Road in College Station, Texas.

and so, because it’s our home, we don’t actually publish our address on our web site.  Once you register for your seats for a show, though, we’ll send you information on how to get here, where to park and all that good stuff.

be sure that you pre-register so you don’t end up like the folks below…

see you out on the Prairie!

Others’ Search for the Prairie

one poor music lover spent years hunting for RPHC.  it filled his days with wandering and tormented his night with dreams… he awoke one fitful night and painted what he saw.

if only he had pre-registered… then again, we wouldn’t have this beautiful art.

this poor woman enlisted her dog to sniff out RPHC…only to end up squaring off with a crazed hay-sniper

(no one was injured - he was a lousy shot).

here’s an entire classroom of second graders from Rock Prairie Elementary, hunting for that live music of legends.

undaunted after this failed mission, they successfully tracked Bigfoot through the Brazos Valley.  tenacious little tykes.

the image below can only be captioned, “men never ask for directions.”  even the dogs here are male.

their wives, on the other hand, ask directions … from each other.

members of this search party were overheard to say, “we should have looked on the web site first.”

This group actually had no idea how close they were.  a group of beavers removed an entire bank of bushes in my back yard, branch by branch over several weeks.  each night they would gnaw through 3 inch branches and drag them into the storm sewer behind RPHC, where they had taken up residence. (no kiddn’ - that part really happened.) i decided to make the varmints part of a scavenger hunt, and plastered “follow me to RPHC” bumper stickers on their bums.  these fellas followed ‘em this far, but never found RPHC.

since the 1800s, families have searched for RPHC. they toiled over the plains in rickety covered wagons, enduring attacks of sunstroke, rattlesnakes and indians. fortunately, you have the internet.

So get your tickets and your confirmation e-mail and we’ll see you at a show soon!
