the first hitchin’ out on the prairie. we continue the tradition.

i can’t believe that it’s already been a year since Ricky Taylor and i had a team hitchin’ giving me a new name and a permanent Prairie Home Companion! (guess that makes me a Lil Spouse on the Prairie?) we are blessed indeed!

Amazing Cake, How Sweet ‘Twas Found

oh, but you came to this page to read about the weddin’! thanks to the amazing talents of several generous friends, we had a lovely ceremony at our church that we pulled together in less than a month! when i saw all the beautiful decorations in the church — created entirely without my help — i felt like a queen! and the cake was unbelievable, designed by a premiere pastry chef, who just happens to be my new sister-in-law, Tammy Taylor. we even had a punch fountain
Lena’s Fountain, a gift from my daughter’s best friend Lena, with delicious punch made by my running partner Megan. wow, where would we be without friends!

Crying at Rehearsal!

we had a great time, i only bawled a little (as opposed to the rehearsal where i cried the whole way through the practicing of our vows!) and it was truly a family affair. the beautiful young lady in red is my daughter and maid of honor. my new (step)son was best man, my oldest son gave me away and my youngest was the ring bearer. my youngest nieces were flower girls and they were so beautiful! every little girl’s dream is to be a flower girl, but it was this big girl’s dream to marry my handsome groom.

heartfelt thanks to all of you who waited patiently while RPHC took a back seat for a few months while i fell in love with and married God’s greatest gift to me.

you’ll have to come to a show soon and meet him. until then, be blessed and love life.
